A little game
If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you!

My favorite memory is that day we spent swimming at Westwood lake/ When we were spying on those little girls at the playground? Then their mothers showed up and we blushed like fools... man.. good times!

remember that time we boiled noodles, and threw them at each other, just to hear the funny little thwap sound? That was cool, we should do it again.
(and by that, I mean, we should do that, because we've been planning to for three years, now!)

You got your first real six-string
Bought it at the five-and-dime
Played it til your fingers bled
It was the summer of '69
You and some chicks from school
Had a band and ya tried real hard
Kaitlyn quit and Barbara got married
You shoulda known you'd never get far
Oh when you look back now
That summer seemed to last forever
And if you had the choice
Ya - you'd always wanna be there
Those were the best days of your life
Ain't no use in complainin'
When you got a job to do
Spent your evenin's down at the drive-in
And that's when you met me
Standin' on my Mama's porch
I told you that I'd wait forever
Oh and when I held your hand
You knew that it was now or never
Those were the best days of our lives
Back in the summer of '69
Man we were killin' time
We were young and restless
We needed to unwind
I guess nothin' can last forever - forever, no
And now the times are changin'
Look at everything that's come and gone
Sometimes when you play that old six-string
You think about ya wonder what went wrong
Standin' on my Mama's porch
I told you it would last forever
Oh the way I held your hand
You knew that it was now or never
Those were the best days of our lives
Back in the summer of '69
